The Program – The Ovarian Cancer Outreach and Education Project is an initiative of Lesbian Cancer Support Services and uses social marketing techniques to provide health education, awareness and prevention messages in a culturally sensitive, fun and social way. It targets Colorado women who partner with women and urges them to play a more active role in their health. Informal social gatherings such as house parties and small community gatherings around the state are created to present these educational messages in order to provide an affirming and accepting environment that encourages healthy living.
